Continuing on with my exploration of the NE and it's fancy coastline, I picked up Claire from work and we headed over to Holy Island for a quick evening trip. The crossing was in our favour and we made it safely over in time for a wonder around the sights and a spot of tea.
We had beautiful blue skies on arrival and dusty pink upon departure, even with that northern wind it was a lovely evening. Admittedly we weren't there for long due to the late crossing time, but we're hoping to head back at some point soon to get a taster of Lindisfarne Mead and see the inside of the castle.

NE Coast
Claire and I took a coastal drive over the weekend, just to chill out a bit. We stopped in a few places along the way, Alnwick and Alnwick Castle (aka Hogwarts - strangely I didn't take any photos of the castle - calling for a revisit!!) and a few beaches, I'm liking the NE Coast more and more, it so vast and beautiful. Anyway here's some more photos of the NE (becoming quite a popular theme on my blogs at the moment) and a few of Claire sanding her toes!

Isle of Wight
For the past few days I've been spending some time with the family down on the Isle of Wight, the weather was pretty bad so we spent a good few days lazy around the rented house catching up and chasing my 18 month old nephew around.
We did see a fair bit of the island, but admittedly the camera wasn't used as much as it should have been due to bad weather and not enough water proof gear - there will be some Holga shots of the island coming, but the film hasn't been developed yet.

Toon - Riverside
The weather hasn't exactly been the best of late, neither the less I was out and about in the Toon and headed over to the riverside to try and take a few images of a couple of iconic structures, but in my own way. I've tried to take images from new angles and not your standard 'iconic photo'. Also, I don't tend to use colour bleeds, but you'll see that I've tried it out for effect here....

Craster - Dunstanburgh Castle
Today me and fellow photographer Andrew headed out to Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster for a short shoot, we had great weather and great light and was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Car smells of Kippers now though....

North East coast line
Randomly had some sunny weather the other day so headed out to the North East coast line, for a wonder and a pub lunch. The sun didn't last long so now waiting for the Summer to really kick in before headed back to spend the day in the dunes.
